Your prayer request, brings to mind my handicapped nephew, who is in dialysis right now. He had to do today because of the holiday. He does Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday each week otherwise. He is coming to have for dinner tomorrow, along with my oldest handicapped step-daughter from around Denver.
The nephew is paralyzed from just below his breastbone to the tips of his feet. He is a few years younger than my step-daughter and me. She is almost 10 years younger and he is 14 years younger.
I am proud of the both of them, he is a fighter, his wife is in the can, if you know what I mean, his first wife took off with a guy twice her age, and he raised their son. He is a grandfather now and is to be again in March. He has been hit on all sides and he keeps going. He isn't able to work away from home, but like one of those people whom we don't like who call us, he is a telemarketer. He has helped many with their handicaps. He like my late husband and my adopted nephew we fight for handicapped rights in this country, the right to work, the right to shop, the right to go places where the community used frown upon. My Lee fought for what is today ADA and our country would like to do away with it.
Yes, your cousin is a fighter, and I am proud that he is, and I shall pray for him. Pray about his surgery, his day to day life.
God bless you for writing about this and have a
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, AND TO EVERYONE ELSE
HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

I have a cousin by the name of Bryan Culberson who lives in Oregon. He has severe diabetes and is a double amputee below the knees as well as being blind in one eye as a result of the diabetes. He is most definitely a fighter, as he has refused disability or welfare. Now, he has a rapidly growing cancer on his neck, and is going to have emergency surgery to remove it. Bryan used to be a lumberjack; and the old devil has done everything imaginable to steal his joy for living; however unsuccessfully thus far. There are times I think Bryan is a modern day Job. When I think I have problems, I think of what Bryan has been through, and then think, "Naw! Not even." PLease pray for him in earnest.
