You are doing the right thing by praying for your grandson. If I may suggest, I have seen the benefit of young people your grandson's age and even younger in outpatient drug programs. So many young people feel like alcohol and even marijuana are harmless. I've seen a turnaround of young in such treatment programs especially where group counseling is offered. They listen to the 30, 40 50 plus clients share how they started with just one drink, graduated to drinking only on the weekend to becoming alcoholics and even drug addicts. When they look at the physical ramifications of those before them from just alcohol, they often will see their life in addiction in grave need of change. Also drug centers provide a one on one, and educational groups designed to increase drug/alcohol awareness, and will also provide individual counseling to assess whether there are underlying problems contributing to addiction.

I have a great concern for my grandson. He is 20, and all he wants to do is drink. He drinks every day, and I found he got into a fight at a bar last night (probably not the first time). I am very scared about his 21st birthday coming up in Nov. I am afraid he will drink himself to death that night. Also that something terrible could happen in a bar fight anytime. Please pray that God will send the Holy Spirit upon him in a very mighty way, with great power.
