If you look at the success stories, you'll notice that there are more average successes than barbie doll successes. Sometimes people will delete their accounts saying that all the men only want Barbies. But if you look at the photos in the success stories, I think a lot of these women will admit they are not Barbies. I wonder if the women who delete their accounts are looking for Kens. I don't know. It's always a mystery to me.
Some believe taht although it isn't a haphazzard number's game: flooding mail to thousands of men at random, it is still a number's game, nonetheless. Meaning, run a search of desired criteria, and contact all of those returned. Don't wait for them to contact you. READ the profiles. In your first email, comment on something specific to their profile that attracted you or that you have in common. DON'T send a smile. I often wonder why folks who have full privileges to send online mails resort to sending smiles. The SMILES were created for FREE BASIC members and never intended for members with privileges to send mail. A LOT of members, male and female, are turned off by smiles when they know the person could have written them specifically and said something. They don't believe they are taking it seriously if they can't even write something about themselves and what sparked their interest.
Maybe I shouldn't allow paid members to even use the SMILES feature, just to protect them from themselves.
If you read the success stories, you'll notice that many of them indicate an interest, but the person was too far away. Then the other person persisted and broke down their reasons for saying no. Be persistent to some degree, as long as the doors are open for friendship, but don't be a stalker if they have told you to stop writing them. Many will say, "We're not right for each other because of this or this, but we can be friends." Well, then BE FRIENDS! This is how most relationships start anyway.
Don't take any dating too seriously, online or offline. Most people are threatened by the thought that this person is looking for a spouse. Let them know you are here for friendships, and if it leads to something else in God's time, you are open to consider that. But don't be pushy.
Review your profile and make sure you don't sound like a desperate person, or a cranky person pointing out up front what you can or can't live with. Keep comment upbeat and happy.
God bless,
Nannette

I have been on many online dating sites. This by far is the best one i've found.(and i'm not being paid to say that.) However I have found that I have been rejected more and even at time more rudley than some of the other sites. It seems that being a normal woman just isn't good enough, you have to be "pretty," "sexy," and have a perfect body type. not to mention the "perfect" christian ta'boot. what are the average women like me to do?
