There are no ifs, ands or buts about it, if this person used the name Lucifer, he had a motive he is not admitting to. For one thing, most certainly he expected opposition when entering a Christian chat room with a name that even unsaved people associate with the devil. He would have to have known he would meet with a defensive audience. Why the need to stir up trouble? Could he not have entered the room with a less contraversial name and just brought the subject up without the risk of offending the body of the Lord Jesus? I discern a motive that is not in plain view. The Lord tells us not to stir up strife with the motive to debate with our brothers & sisters. The Scripture says in 1 Timothy 6:3-5: "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and STRIFES of words, whereof cometh envy, STRIFE, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself." I think this man knows a better way of bringing up a point without putting a bee in everyone's bonnet by exalting the name of the devil.

Of course there are two sides to every story. You heard one side. Do you know for a fact that he was "cast out before he could say anything in his defense?" I highly doubt it, unless he had an entirely inappropriate alias, which is grounds for immediate deletion on this site. But since you did not list his name, there is no way to look up the chat logs to see what actually happened. And since he did not report it, the same goes there as well.

However, as you suggest, there are people who join this site and create aliases which imply they are followers of Satan, and do join our chat rooms just to stir up trouble. That is not tolerated. This is a Christian website, and why any Christian would want to label themselves as Lucifer or Satan, or Ahaz, is beyond me. It certainly makes me question their motives.

In fact, even if "Hitler" meant "generous heart," I doubt anyone would want to be labeled by that name. Just because Lucifer started out with a very beautiful meaning, does not make it an appropriate name to name your child, and I would question the mental stability of a parent who would place that label on a child. You say "Suppose this person walked into your church and that was his given name"... let's be real. This website very seldom has any names used that are believably real. I doubt the person you are talking about had a believably real name either.

Hello to all who are taking the time to read this. I recently ran across a gentleman who said he was looking for a good christian chat room to meet new friends and enjoy the company of other God loving people, to his surprise he went into the chat room and was bombarded with acusations and cruelty and removed from the chat room by a member who accused him of being a Satinist because he had a rather peculiar alias much like mine, which I chose to use in order to grab this persons attention and any others who question this "name" I had a long talk with this gentleman and he showed me in the Bible why he chose to use this particular alias, he felt like it would open an interesting topic in the chat room and help people to see how alot of the old teachings are being brought into the church and misleading people, I soon agreed with him and studied the scriptures for myself.
Lucifer being mentioned only one time in the Bible and Lucifer being a description more than a name, meaning (light bearer or shining one) reading on in the scriptures where this Lucifer is described God makes a proclamation as to the outcome of Lucifer which is death, as we all know Satan is alive and well, but not to confuse the issue, reading on you will see that King Ahaz was this Lucifer, if you read other stories on king Ahaz you will see that he was a very bad person and God was not happy with him at all, he tore up the temple and stole temple money etc...as for the descending from the heavens and so on look at king Nebucanezer, he also thought highly of himself and God made him to eat like an animal for 7 years , he lifted himself up and made himself equal to God, this is an interesting topic and I will dig deeper into it and hope that if you were one of the people who "had no sin and cast the first stones" you will reconsider and be more christianlike in the future. Suppose this person walked into your church and that was his given name, would you pelt stones at him and run him off because his name didnt fit into your "names that only good people should have" book? But I do understand that their is a serious problem with trouble makers and so forth and maybe this wasn't a name to come into a christian chat room, but he didnt come in to do anything of the sort and was cast out before he could say anything in defense. Thank you for reading this and any comments will be welcomed!
