what is a disability? a disabilty is a lack of profecency in an area, therefore everyone has a disibility.

To the author of message #51:
Dear Sir, I think that you have made little effort to learn how to socialize with the disabled.... that is a shame. Regardless of your virtues,ANYONE would feel much closer to Him if they made a committed, sincere effort to help others. Mother Teresa would work and touch those whose flesh was literally sloughing off their bodies.
And Sir, I can't believe you would refer to the feelings of the disabled as "smoke and mirrors". What were you thinking?
Last, I am disappointed that you hold such a view but are too ashamed to write other than anonymously.

I too am affected by a disability(s).I have manic-depression,and epilipsy.I beleive that I should be able to be supportive in a relationship.I'm so tired of being steriotyped!I want to be treated with respect just like everyone else!I too want to be loved,for God loves me without any problem,so if the persons on this site are true christians they should follow Christ's example!I do hope that I have helped bring this very personal issue to the forfront!God be with you all!

After reading through many of the comments made in this question, it seems we miss the basic point. i can only imagine, no I can't, how some one with a mental or physical disability feels.
Two reasons:
We are human beings, we grown up in this make believe world where perfection is everything. The best of the best. The shining new cars, the polished apples, its all the same. Its taught to us in the schools, on tv, in our everyday lives. Doesn't matter what site you are on, people are people,

I want more then anything to find a nice woman, to share a love, to have a family and to grow old together. Would I seek out a woman on line with disabilties, probably not, If I met someone by chance and got to know them and built a relationship with them, Then it might be different.
But to write to someone, it would scare me, not knowing how to act, what to say, what to do,
And as far as the human race goes, I would consider myself a very decent guy.
I feel sorry for those with disabilities and I don't
want to, Because they don't want my pity.
no offence to anyone, nothing intended, just reading the other comments and its always the same thing, smoke and mirrors.
