My Daddy

Daddy, the Lord didn't keep you here
Long enough for me to grow up
And get to know you like I wanted
But God knows best.
You left me Mom and 3 brother’s to
Help to guide me along the way.
To help me know you,
Even though the Lord laid you to rest.
I am so thankful for those hours around
The piano in the evenings
When as a family you played and we all sang together.
I rejoice in the songs that You taught us to sing,
Always praising the Lord our Savior and King.”
Daddy, I missed having you around
You left us so early, but you left;
Us a treasure of memories to be found
In thoughts of Hugs, Kisses and
Daily guidance from God’s Holy Word.
You taught me that building a home
Is not building a house.
It is what is the inside of that house that is important
Where love abounds is more important than
Earthly wealth or gain;
But that we are to Love Jesus
And make Him Lord of All.
For without His daily guidance where
Would we all be,
I would rather have be an orphan.
Than not knowing Jesus
And being
A Child of the King
