Skipping breakfast is a risk for obesity. More of us skip breakfast than ever. The number of obese people has increased to 31 percent in 2000. More of us skip breakfast as our lives become more hectic. With a goal to lose/maintain weight, skipping breakfast is not a good way.
1.) People eating quick breads for breakfast (pastries, cookies, waffles) have lower BMIs than others.
2.) Those eating meat and eggs for breakfast had higher average BMIs and eat significantly more calories through the day than people who eating something else for breakfast.
3.)People skipping breakfast consume less of calories per day, but have higher BMIs. They eat the bulk of calories later in the day, contributing the most to weight gain.
A low-fat, high-fiber breakfast leads to lower weight. Organized meals are significant. When you eat on-the-run, it is usually foods high in fat, leading to weight gain.
