Dear Father
I humbly come before You, laying at Your Feet all my troubles and burdens of the past days. I am weak dear God for my life has toiled on this earth, labouring for material possessions that only last for a time. Open my eyes Father that I may see, and see that my treasures should be stored in heaven and my rewards on this planet are to multiply your love and kindness to those I meet.
Oh how I have fallen short, looking not into the eyes of my Maker but glorifying myself as better than others. I am a sinner dear God, in deep need of Your grace. Help me to find the courage to hold on in You, to look towards You and see that You are my Redeemer, my Shield and my Comforter.
What greater love is there, than a man who will lay down is life for his friends? Jesus, You have been a true example of how unconditional love can impact on lives. Move upon my heart dear Lord, put your Holy Spirit within me to bring to my understanding the direction you wish to lead my life. I am but a vessel being moulded by Your Hands, shape me Lord in Your likeness not only to bear the image of my Creator but to also possess a true spirit of Godliness.
If I stumble Father during my walk in this life, give me the strength and determination to rise up once more and keep moving forward, leaving the past behind and continuing to see the future You have prepared for me. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. (Psalms 121: 1-2)
You are my life dear God, my Peace and true Friend. Continue to be the Light in my life so that I may see my path. Though it is a long and rigorous trail as I travel along, I will grow in You and be a beacon to all mankind.
Thank you Lord, for hearing an answering my prayer
In Jesus Name, Amen
