Another Scam Tactic Revealed

I am sending this in hopes of helping you avoid scammers who have infiltrated singles sites. I was on another site and noticed some mid 20's women who were willing to accept men in their early and mid forty's. I wrote and the ladies sent me their personal email sites, a "hotpop" site.

I've never heard of it before, so I visited hotpop. They provide the option of tracing the sender via a set of numbers hidden somewhere within the message. I thought that was a convenient method of locating the sender. I wondered why would they want to do that?

I hesitantly wrote back and asked a few questions, where they were born and where do they live now. The ladies had problems configuring words and spelling. I suspected they were from a formerly Russian country, while saying they live within the U.S.

My next move was to research Russian scam sites. I found one of the women, she had been defrauding men. I realized the other woman who wrote back was very similar, writing style and hotpop. After 2 days without a response I deleted my file.

I had time to think about it and realized these women may not be the women in the picture. It would be easy to post a models photo. So, how can you ever stop them? They may even be men. How would you know?

I see no method of stopping this. I just wanted to tell you about the experience because I know you're trying to stop that here.
